John Coltrane was a master musician who practiced hours daily to achieve his level of excellence.

Our efforts connect that legacy with the community of young people striving to hone their skills and develop their craft.

Coltrane JazzFest To Host Inaugural Golf Experience for 15th Anniversary

Join us for the Inaugural Coltrane JazzFest Golf Experience on Friday, September 4 at the Grandover Resort as we tee-off the 15th Annual John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival (JCIJBF).

This charitable golfing event takes place at the heart of the Grandover Resort, where two Championship Courses—the East and West, co-designed by David Graham and Gary Panks—set the tone for a day of friendly competition.

The Coltrane JazzFest Golf Experience benefits The Friends of John Coltrane, Inc, the nonprofit organization behind the JCIJBF and related educational programming. The Friends of John Coltrane engages leaders in local business, arts, civics, and nonprofits to celebrate the legacy of the iconic saxophonist, composer, and High Point NC native son, John Coltrane.

Our Scramble format Golf Experience starts at 9 AM with coffee service and includes a post-event buffet luncheon, Coltrane JazzFest swag bags, and awards. Entry is $175 per individual or $650 per four person team.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies looking to support our mission through the Coltrane JazzFest Golf Experience and meaningfully connect with community leaders.

The 2026 John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival (September 5-6) is our 15th annual Festival. It’s a celebration of Coltrane’s foundational influence on jazz, blues, R&B, rock, and hip-hop music in High Point, NC–the city where his musical journey began. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Oak Hollow Park, the 15th Anniversary Festival features Ledisi, Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers, Ravi Coltrane, Marcus Anderson, Cyrille Aimée, The Lao Tizer Band, The NC Coltrane All-Star Band with Gary Percell, and many others.
