Elliott Yamin

Performing Live

Saturday, Sep 5, 2026

Elliott Yamin will join the Lao Tizer Band for a stellar set at the John Coltrane International Jazz and Blues Festival on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026 in High Point, NC. With his unmistakable tone and a gift for turning personal stories, Yamin has earned his place among the most memorable artists to emerge from the modern era of American pop and R&B. Yamin first gained national attention as a finalist on American Idol Season 5. Audiences were drawn to his soulful delivery and classic vocal influences. Yamin’s appeal has always come from the sincerity behind his voice — a combination of vulnerability, warmth, and deep musical feeling.

WAIT FOR YOU

Following his breakthrough on television, Yamin released his self-titled debut album on March 20, 2007. The album made an immediate impact, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200. It was later certified gold in the United States, establishing Yamin as one of the standout vocalists of that year. The album’s signature single, “Wait for You,” became a defining moment in his career. The song reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned platinum certification, and introduced his voice to listeners around the world. His second studio album, Fight for Love, continued to explore themes of resilience, relationships, and personal growth. The title track became a fan favorite and a staple of his live performances, showcasing a more upbeat side of his artistry while maintaining the soulful foundation that defines his sound.

Soulful Voice

Beyond his studio albums, Yamin has also become known for his holiday recordings, bringing his expressive vocals to seasonal favorites. Sounds of the Season: The Elliott Yamin Holiday Collection and My Kind of Holiday demonstrated his ability to bring warmth and personality to classic holiday music.

More than two decades after first stepping into the spotlight, Elliott Yamin remains a vocalist known for authenticity; whether performing pop, R&B, soul, or jazz-influenced material, he continues to connect with audiences through one of music’s most powerful tools: a voice that tells the truth.
